IN THE CLEAR: The Swiss National Bank published an independent auditors' report which concluded that currency deals by the central bank chief's wife were "delicate" but did not break the bank's internal guidelines.
CURRENCY QUESTIONS: The report by PricewaterhouseCoopers came amid growing pressure on central bank President Philipp Hildebrand to reveal details of the deals in which his family made 75,000 Swiss francs ($83,000) from currency swaps in less than two months.
POOR TIMING? The Hildebrands' currency deals were heavily criticized because they happened while the bank was acting to depress the value of the Swiss franc.
