I've decided to make my family tree public. I want to keep information about living people private, and understand that that is what Ancestry does by default (so far, so good). But I can't find out whether or not media files that are attached to living people are private as well. For example: if I attach my birth certificate to myself, I do not want that to appear publicly on Ancestry.com since that would kind of defeat the purpose of hiding information about living people. I guess it won't show up if people go to the Home person in my tree (because that's shielded off) but I'm not sure it won't show up in search results if people are searching for photos...
My main questions are:
* Are media files that are attached to living people hidden in a public tree or not?
* If not, is there any way to prevent them from being uploaded? Or should I simply not add them to my tree? That would be a shame though!
