my son jake is 15 and lives in another state. he's a smart kid, but is only an average student. doesn't study much unless it's a topic he likes. recently he has gotten interested in law. a
couple of weeks, his mom got into a dispute over some property she owns. she's thinking of suing a guy. now jake is trying to learn specifically about property law. he's a little confused about the legalese of some terms and how to distinguish them. i'm having trouble helping him with them, maybe b/c i've never owned any real estate. if you could define a few in a way that will help him understand them, i'd be very grateful. i could ask you about a lot terms, but don't want to overburden you. Can you help me with these: deed, deed of trust, mortgage, general warranty deed, special warranty deed and quitclaim deed. thanks a lot.
