Working for this industry leading resource organisation as a Communications Relations and Stakeholder Engagement Professional, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and delivery of community relations and stakeholder engagement initiatives for operations in the Brisbane area.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Be To:
Manage the administrative and project coordination support.
Support the Manager, Community Relations and Senior Community Officer to implement the companys Corporate and project specific community engagement and consultation plans to inform the community of our client?s activities.
Support the Manager, Community Relations and Senior Community Officer in negotiating opportunities for building a positive reputation from community engagement and projects.
Contribute to the planning and delivery of our client?s community investment program which has been created to improve the quality of life for people who work and live in the companys host communities.
Other duties as may reasonably and lawfully be directed by the Manager Community Relations and other senior executives of the company.
You will need to have:
Experience of stakeholder engagement within the Queensland market.
A demonstrated understanding of contemporary stakeholder and communication theory and practices, including community engagement and sponsorship
Tertiary qualifications such as a Bachelor of Business majoring in public relations or communications, progress towards the same, or similar industry experience would be well regarded. Community development experience would be a plus.
Demonstrated organisational and administrative skills.
A minimum of five year?s experience in community relations or similar.
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated planning, program management, organisational and administrative skills.
Knowledge of the local community will be highly regarded.
Experience in and understanding of resources sector (in particular oil and gas, or energy related) and the issues associated with stakeholders will be highly regarded.
