Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement today regarding the opening of a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Disaster Loan Outreach Center in Washington County:
"I am pleased that the SBA will be on hand to offer assistance to those impacted by the April tornadoes. These low-interest loans will aid in the recovery process and help homeowners, renters, and business owners as they move forward."
The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is August 29, 2011. The SBA's disaster declaration covers Washington County, the contiguous counties of Grayson, Russell, Scott, and Smyth, as well as the city of Bristol.
Representatives from the SBA will be in Washington County July 6 - 14 to answer questions about the disaster loan program and assist with the application process. If you should need additional assistance or if the below dates and times are not convenient, Congressman Griffith's office will be available to assist constituents.
