The Southern Hills community in south Shreveport is getting ready for their annual Old Fashioned Christmas Parade.
On Saturday, the three mile parade route begins and ends at the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Safety Town on Jewella.
It's a time when neighbors get a chance to celebrate the holidays together.
Homeowners' association board members believe the parade helps in their revitalization efforts.
"I believe the Shreveport tourist bureau organization Trail of Lights and we got with them this year and they have added us to that.? They have put us on digital billboards and they have done mail-outs for us and they've been wonderful in helping to promote the parade," said Judy Grimes, Southern Hills Board Member.
The parade rolls at 4:30 P.M.? This is the first year they're officially apart of the Holiday Trail of Lights.
