Oakland, CA?April 12, 2013 Embodying the spirit of Mills students who take active roles in speaking out on social issues, Theresa Soares ?16 and Natalie Meier ?15 were featured on Huffington Post and Student Voice blogs. Both women are involved with Student Voice, an international network designed to empower students by providing them with the tools they need to use their voice in policy discussions.
Soares? blog, ?Imagining Students as the Solution: Redefining Youth, Starting with ?Our? Stories,? was featured by both the Huffington Post and Student Voice.
In addition, Meier, an active member of several leadership and social-action groups at Mills, has been featured in several Student Voice blogs this year, including ?Lessons on Raising Your Voice.?
Soares also organized and will co-host Student Voice LIVE, a streaming video summit taking place Saturday, April 13, 2013, from Microsoft's New York City office.
