Thursday's minor-league baseball roundup: Tides sweep G-Braves in Georgia

Niuman Romero was 2-for-3 with two runs Thursday night as the Norfolk Tides (9-6) won 5-1 at Gwinnett, sweeping the Braves (6-9) in a three-game series in Lawrenceville, Ga.

Zach Britton pitched six innings for the win.

The triumphs for the Tides came immediately after they won two of three against G-Braves at Harbor Park.

Eastern League:

Ricky Oropesa?s first Double-A home run broke a tie in the seventh inning and led the Richmond Flying Squirrels (6-9) to a 7-1 victory over the Reading Fightin Phils (7-6)at The Diamond.
